O365 Mail Migrations(Three Small Clients for One Vendor): May 2023 to September 2023

Mail and OneDrive migration from GoDaddy to O365 using the BitTitan MigrationWiz Tool for vendors two small clients and Mail only migration from Lotus Notes 9.0.1 to O365 using Kernel Office365 Migrator for Lotus Notes for another small client.
In source and target Azure Admin Centers, confirmed security defaults and MFA disabled on service accounts.
Created and registered new app registration, copied source and target App ID's and Dir ID's to notepad for use in MigrationWiz tool for Modern Authentication setup, allowed Public Client Flows, in API Permissions added EWS delegated permissions and granted admin consent to domain.
Created users in destination tenant admin client, converted some to shared mailboxes, added members, assigned permissions, reclaimed business basic licenses from shared mailboxes after they were converted.
Ran script in MS Partner Center Azure Cloud Shell to create application impersonation roles for both service accounts.

Setup and configured BitTitan MigrationWiz Tool Project for mail migration. Licensed all users with BitTitan licenses.
Successfully ran verification, ran Pre-stage Migration of mailboxes, increased message size limits in target domain to 150MB for users who had message size limit errors, reset those users and re-ran pre-stage prior to running Full Migration for all mail files including Calendar and Contacts.
Created post migration procedures for users to login to Outlook Web Access, change their temp passwords, how to create a new Outlook profile on their machines and how to work with Shared Mailboxes as well.
Created and provided list of temp passwords and smtp addresses for mailboxes to appropriate colleagues.
After full migration ran for all users, since we used the same smtp in GoDaddy for newly created tenant, changed users smtp addresses in GoDaddy and users UPN in Azure Active Directory to an onmicrosoft.com domain and deleted all SMTP and SIP references in source M365 Admin Client as well, in order to be able to decomm and defederate GoDaddy domain.
Finished setup and verification of new domain in target tenant, noted MX, SPF and Autodiscover DNS records and updated them in DNS host account, changed users SMTP addresses in target domain to point to new domain and successfully tested mail routing.
Helped users setup OWA and Outlook profile and provided post-migration support for any missing mail, calendar or contacts. 
For OneDrive migrations, set up App-based Authentication, consented to app access, created MigrationWiz Security Group in O365 Admin portal, added service accounts to group as member only, created MigrationWiz OneDrive Project, created source and destination endpoints, added permissions, configured tool, imported users and migrated OneDrives.

M365 Tenant to Tenant Migration: February 5, 2023 to May 12, 2023

Merger and acquisition, tenant to tenant migration of 1,700+ Mailboxes and OneDrive’s, 94 Teams, and 268 Sharepoint Doc Libraries, using the BitTitan MigrationWiz Tool.

Had client disable MFA for both Service Accounts and exclude MFA from conditional access as well.
In Azure Active Directory, created and registered new Source and Target Application Registrations, copied app and directory ID's for BitTitanWiz Migration Tool use, enabled public client flows, assigned Office365 Online permissions, delegated EWS permissions for source and target.
Ran powershell command to assign application impersonation roles for both service accounts.

Teams, OneDrive and Mailboxes and exported Distribution Groups, M365 Groups, Mail Enabled Security Groups and Security Groups to spreadsheet  and sent to source client for approval, prior to kicking off pre-stage migration.

Changed domains for target domain for all imported users, applied bundle licenses to all users, entered recipient mapping from source to target in order to update the correct domain in mail headers, verified and confirmed credentials, ran pre-migration for earlier then 30 days, ran full migrations, changed DNS MX records to point to target domain once migration finished.

On Demand Admin rights to Quest On Demand Migration Tool for consolidation of 4 small domains.
Non-GCC to GCC Tenant Migration
Created documentation on how to perform authentication email setup in Azure AD, how to match users, migrate 90 days mail, migrate meeting Links, perform full migration and enable mail forwarding from Source to Target.
Populated target account authentication email accounts with their corresponding source email accounts as authentication methods in AAD for SSPR(SelfService Password Resets) and users access to setup their target accounts.
Created 64 Distribution Groups from source domains, in target domain, created .csv file matching them based on ObjectID's in AAD and migrated all successfully.
Successfully completed initial mapping of users from all 4 source domains into the ODM tool.
Created transport rules in Exchange Admin Center(EAC) as part of migration testing.
Uninstalled and reinstalled Hybrid Agents on source and target domains and confirmed successful.
Successfully reconnected Domain Re-Writes to all domains that had failed in ODM Tool.

In Azure AD excluded some accounts in Conditional Access in exclude from MFA for ODM tool to function correctly.
Matched and enabled Domain Re-Writes for users as part of testing process
Worked with team to resolve SPF parameter issues involving Barracuda Tool.
In order to resolve issue of users created with multiple source accounts, created .csv file and imported matched users to ODM Tool from 3 Hybrid Source domains. Created multiple licensed accounts for each source user in tenant and was able to import all three to run matches on them, FN.LN@target.com, FN.LN1@target.com, and FN.LN2@target.com to differentiate them when matching.
Submitted 90 day implementation service request via target tenant admin client to Microsoft to increase EWS(Exchange Web Services) throttling on target tenant and to set the EwsMaxBurst, EwsRechargeRate and EswCutoffBalance policies to unlimited or the highest allowable threshold, in preparation for tenant to tenant migration. Also was able to successfully run diagnostics on the four source domains and successfully request the 90 day increase in each of the four source admin clients.

Resolved issues of users Outlook 2013 in source domain with Business Basic O365 licenses not being able to complete autodiscover process post migration by upgrading them to Outlook 2016 and licensing them to full Office 365 or E3 licenses.

3M: Work from Home Assignment
Exchange On-Prem to Office365 Migration Specialist: October 2020 to April 2021
Project Migrating 6,500+ Exchange On-Prem users and shared mailboxes, from clients recently purchased entity into their O365 Cloud/Tenant, using the Avepoint Fly Migration Tool. Created runbook on how to run the migration, created documentation on client requested pre- and post-migration procedures on tracking migration process and progress, and documentation on resolving failed migrations. Configured the tool to client migration specifications, i.e. no auto complete list, no deletion sync, no mailbox permissions, contacts, or rules, etc, etc...Created Migration Policy and Migration Database settings in tool, Created Migration Plans using configured Service Accounts for both Exchange On-Prem and Exchange Online, Imported mapped .csv files and verified mappings, Configured Mapping Groups and Migration Schedules. Full and Incremental migration of small batch of users as part of Proof of Concept test migration, migrated 100 Pilot users as well, and evaluated post-migration log files for both. Ran incremental migrations on failed only migrations that failed due to throttling or transient errors / network latency and also incremental migrations on data that arrived in users mailboxes after full migration runs.

Using GCC High and GCC Clouds, Migrated 36K Mailboxes, Calendars, Contacts, Archives, Mail-In Databases, and Rooms and Resources from Lotus Notes R9 to Office365 ProPlus for 320 U.S. Federal Court locations across the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands for the Administrative Offices of the United States Federal Courts. Built out two MCC’s(Migration Control Centers), one in Ashburn, Virginia and the other in San Diego, California. Installed 100 BinaryTree Migration WorkerApps on each of the two MCC’s for a total of 200 new WorkerApps. Reconfigured and fixed all 200 newly created WorkerApps, including new Outlook Profiles on each machine and also confirmed WorkerApps up and running and connected to respective consoles. Trained a colleague on how to build MCC’s and install an additional 100 WorkerApps and re-configure them. Reviewed and fixed an incorrect and outdated 43 page project specific User and Generic Account Migration RunBook to make it easier for colleagues to drive the migration from start to finish. Created a 7 page Mail-In Database RunBook. Ran 100+ Test Use Cases to test the newly built Migration Control Centers and WorkerApps and Co-Existence prior to migration to O365. Created various documentation and uploaded to Sharepoint site. Import, Audit, and Validate all users prior to migration. Ran agent fixes prior to migration to fix contacts/group members, folders and maintain calendar workflow. Rolled failed users back to Notes, by changing routing info in migration doc and manually updating Notes mail file ACL’s to previous settings. Analysis of CMT Migration Logs to resolve duplicate folder issues, failed migrations, etc…Ran Powershell scripts as part of migration and troubleshooted failed scripts as well. Added groups, assign full access rights to groups for shared mailboxes, modify resource policies by adding delegates to mailboxes, set Exchange Mailbox MDB(database name, storage group, exchange server), enabled exchange mailboxes. Verified SMTP addresses, x.500 addresses, updated AD Primary and Secondary SMTP Addresses. Create, delete, update and grant access to O365 Distribution Groups and O365 Shared Mailboxes as requested. Removed access for terminated users, managed Shared O365 Calendars for customers requesting access. Create tickets for outstanding migration issues in JIRA.

Use Citrix/XenApp Remote Assistance Console or Proxy Pro Master to remote into users machines, Re-generate messages via MailMarshal, Add IP addresses and Host names to Mail Marshal configurator relay table. Address and resolve tickets using ChangeGear, open PMR’s with IBM and upload data to their portal, Researched and resolved issue of vendors/clients not being able to view or accept custom repeat meetings by adding parameters to users notes.ini file and users home mail server notes.ini file. Resolved issue of users calendar showing incorrect availability times by removing user from clubusy.nsf and running tell sched check and tell sched validate server commands. Resolved issue of users not receiving group list mail due to alias of temed users in shortname field in some group members person docs, enable DAOS on mail files via database properties field, install various dictionaries on users machines, resolve issue of ghost mail rules using All-in-One Admin tool to delete and rebuild calendar profiles, replace mail template, sh nlcache reset and restart task router commands to clear router of deleted ghost mail rules, created over 250 How To Documents. Add users to MobileIron Notes group and AD group and send user instructions on how to enable MobileIron on their iPads, iPhones and Android devices. Retire mobile devices, Reset users accounts on traveler server, forced device check-in on Mobile Iron portal to resolve traveler pointing to incorrect mail file path. Restart Sametime MUX service to resolve users sametime connectivity and availability issues. Move users to new certifier, move users mail files between servers, Restart rnrmgr to validate and test the rooms. Use Ytria to add fields and parameters to databases, and modify time stamps on private To Do's, Message tracing to check mail routing for group users not receiving mail, Message Tracking to resolve missing sent mail issues. Fix duplicate contacts on blackberry using RSET command,  Resolved disappearing mail by removing folder alias's in Domino Designer. Upgrade folder designs for users who are missing buttons as design replace of template did not fix them.

Migrated 11,000+ mailboxes from Lotus Notes to Exchange 2010 using Binary Tree Migration Tool. Created 50+ FAQ’s and 30+ "How To" documents for client’s help desk post-migration support, 25+ FAQ’s for internal migration team, 21 page document on How To install Exchange/Outlook Profiles and How To install, test, connect and register CMT worker apps and 165 Use Cases for User Acceptance Testing to validate co-existence and migration testing and application functionality. Tested all 165 Use Cases, documenting any issues in the process. Validated migration of pilot users and created spreadsheet to document validation. Installed/configured, connected, tested, checked names, and registered 120 CMT Worker Apps on 6 Master Servers, in preparation for migration. Migrated 600 to 900 users per week while troubleshooting abnormal/cancelled/failed migrations. Using Blackberry 4.1 Manager, deleted Notes BES users and using Blackberry 5.1, created users on Exchange BES server.
